Baton Rouge, La. -- District Attorney Hillar Moore III spoke with the students of the Louisiana Scholastic Press Association (LSPA) Summer Institution at Louisiana State University Journalism building on his thought on how he can get the crime rate down.

Ways Moore has helped the crime rate go down is by developing Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination “BRAVE.”

According to Moore “the grant focuses more on juveniles age thirteen to seventeen and is now expanded from thirteen to twenty-one.”

Moore has to report on a killing every day, also talk to suspects that might have committed the crime.

“Why are people killing each other this is really stupid,” Moore said.
